Subject: AppleDouble creates duplicate attachments?
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Mac OS X
Release: 8.5.1
Reproducible: Always

I am having a problem where I was trying to send several attachments to someone who is not using Notes on a Mac. They kept reporting that they weren't receiving anything from me, so I looked at my outgoing encoding settings.

It was set to Base64/BinHex 4.0, which I've read isn't good to use. I changed it to Base64/AppleDouble instead. I sent a test email with the attachments to a coworker, then to my personal email to test it. The coworker got it and it looked fine, but my personal email got it and had duplicate-like attachments to it.

When I say duplicate-like, I mean that there will be an unopenable file with the same exact name, but at a slightly smaller filesize, attached alongside each original file. Is there a workaround/fix for this? Any help would be much appreciated!
